Communicating The Richness And Power Of Live Opera And Music Theatre

Opera Theatre of Saint Louis (OTSL) was founded in 1976. Each spring we offer a festival season of quality productions sung in English by the best young American singers, all accompanied by members of the Saint Louis Symphony. By 2007 the company will have presented eighteen world and twenty-one American premieres. Since its founding, the company's artistic home has been the 987-seat Loretto-Hilton Center on the campus of Webster University, whose garden setting is ideal for a spring festival season. With more than a dozen year-round education programs reaching between 15,000 and 20,000 adults and children annually, Opera Theatre is a national leader in arts education through the commissioning of new works for young people.
